Well I finished my 1st mystery sock (singular) today and then found this:
Can anyone say OOPS! Yep thats right- no heel turn, I knit the flap then when straight into the gusset decreasing.
If any one has any suggestions of how to add the heel turn without totally killing the sock please let me know.
Also in a perfectly timed sugar-needed rush arrived my project colourswap package from Celia.
Thankyou sooo much. In this was alot (now only one bar left) of chocolate, some handspun alpaca (the brown skein) and 2 balls of soft beige mohair- destined to be soft, beige, beaded scarfs. Thanks again Celia!
Attention Perth Knitters
I am thinking of Starting a Stitch and Bitch in Subiaco or Claremont. If anyone is interested can they please email me and if we get numbers we can then arrange time and place.
Thanks
Kate

Uhhhhhh....hmmm. Maybe you could treat it as an after thought heel and pick up the stitches on either side of where the heel needs to turn and cut out a row. But really, I think you need to suck it up and frog.
Oh, no! I don't know how to fix that without ripping it out. Turtlegirl might be right about the afterthought heel, though. It's worth investigating. Good luck!
I was going to suggest what turtlegirl suggested. Good luck!
What a lovely ColorSwap gift, Kate! I'm so happy for you!
I always need to have some distance between all the work I did and the frogging. Time makes it easier :) Give it a few days, work on something else, then let her rip! Looks like the sock will be really pretty in that colorway.
Yes, afterthought heel!
It might work....good luck!
It is a pretty sock.
Yum, great package!
No advice on the sock, though... Doesn't really look awful, you could try it on to see if the "interesting" heel makes it uncomfortable to wear. You could call it a design feature.
"Hey, everyone, look at the cool new simplified heel I invented!"
What a awesome package! Your mystry sock looks great!
